A Visit from the Sisters

At the end of last month, the LIHM Sisters visited St. Leonard's to pray the Holy Rosary with our students. It was a great afternoon!

The Solemn Vigil of Easter

Here is the view of what has come to be called the "Benedictine" arrangement of the altar, after the style of the Holy Father. This was Deacon Villalobos' idea and it worked very well.

On this laver are the tools for the Easter fire. The tongs are for lighting the incense, the taper is for the candle, the grains on incense decorate the candle, and the stylus is what is used to carve the candle.

Here are the necessities for Confirmation. There are Sacred Chrism and a ewer with lemons for cleansing the hands.

Good Friday

It took some doing, but Father and the Deacons managed to rig up this crucifix for the veneration of the Cross.

Holy Thursday

Here is the altar, prepared before the Holy Mass of the Lord's Supper.

Here is the place of repose (where the Eucharist is transferred).

Here is the altar stripped (bare).

Here are adorers at the place of repose.

All set for Advent...

The Feast of the Triumph of the Cross

Here are two pictures from today's feast. The good sisters at Immculata Monastery in Norfok loaned us a relic of the True Cross for veneration. The relic was exposed from Holy Mass through three o'clock so that visitors and our school students could make a visit.
