October is the month of Mary. A great time to ask our Blessed Mother to intercede for us in all our battles, great and small. She will lead us to victory, she always points us and guides us to her divine son Jesus.

World Mission Sunday

To find out more about what happens with your donation to the missions this World Mission Sunday follow the link to the website of the Congregation of the Propagation of the Faith. Stewardship / Mayordomia

Algunos generosos hermanos dieron su tiempo y habilidad por ayudar con arreglar el techo del garage. Muchisimas gracias por su tiempo y trabajo!

Some generous fellows gave their time and ability to help fix the roof of the garage. Thank you very much for your work and time!

The old roofing going to the dump in Norfolk. It did really well for being so warn on the south side. There was no major water damage to underlying wood anywhere on the roof.

At least six men from the parish helped tear off and clean up the old roof.

Faithful Citizenship

In every aspect of life as a disciple of Jesus the gift of Faith is a light that will help us find our way. Whether we speak of stewardship of our time, our finances, or our duty as citizens in this country in which we live, we want to be guided by the Lord to do what is in accord with God's will.

Please take time as you prepare to vote to pray for your candidates. To pray for wisdom in making good selections. Guided by the light of Faith, we can make good prudential judgements invite the Lord into the needs of our country.

Two resources to help you form your conscience as you prepare to vote. OSV is a publisher of Catholic books, and they prepared a website which has a faithful and straightforward review of some of the big issues to consider when trying to vote in the light of your Catholic Faith. You can find it here.

Another resource is the website of the United States Catholic Bishops. Their booklet on faithful citizenship is a more in depth review and reflection on conscientious voting. You can find that here.

Bulletin from Sun Oct 16th

The Holy Trinity bell in the St.Leonard bell tower. Every time you hear the hour chime, it's this, the largest bell in the tower that is ringing, you can pray the prayer inscribed on the bell: Holy Trinity, One God, have mercy on us!
